LEADS IN A CARING ENVIRONMENT FRAMEWORK

CARING IN ACTION

THE FIVE DOMAINS

OF LEADS

The framework is organized into five core domains:

  • Lead Self
  • Engage Others
  • Achieve Results Develop
  • Coalitions Systems
  • Transformation

Each domain includes evidence-based capabilities that define what effective leadership looks like in health and social systems.

A Common Language

for Leadership

Health systems are complex. Fragmentation makes leadership alignment
challenging. LEADS provides thesimple, shared vocabularyneeded for
clinical, administrative, and technical leaders to work together across every
program, meeting, and system.

As Dr. Elizabeth Shannon wrote:

“If we are to lead the future of health care, we must work toward a simple yet clear vocabulary that we can share with our colleagues. Does such a framework exist?”

For many organizations around the world, that framework is LEADS.
