Nadine is passionate about developing the leadership capacity of systems, organizations, teams, and individuals. Her philosophy of practice centers on the co-creation of pragmatic, sustainable results that generate engagement, ownership and shared leadership. Using an appreciative assets-based approach, she works with clients to strengthen their ability to foster positive change. She considers it a privilege to be able to work with caring, committed others in making a difference in the world.
Nadine has over 20 years of experience in health and other sectors, serving in provider, management, consultant and
senior leadership capacities. Holding an undergraduate degree in social work (Memorial University) and an MA in Leadership (Royal Roads University), her practice experience encompasses leadership and talent development, organizational change, culture enhancement, communications, strategic and operational planning, performance management, quality improvement, community development, and process facilitation.
Working with LEADS since 2009 as both an internal and external change agent, she believes the power of the framework is its beautiful simplicity, yet an ability to hold complexity in a rapidly changing, increasingly interdependent world. It is both generic enough to capture the key ingredients of leadership effectiveness and specific enough to adapt to multiple contexts, It is her experience that LEADS has a resonance at an individual, team, organizational and system levels when brought to life through a synergistic approach.
In reflecting upon her life and work, Nadine sees beautiful synchronicity between both. She fuels her practice through a love of nature and staying close to the essence of life. Nadine jokingly refers to herself as a child of the water. Growing up on the ocean in scenic Newfoundland and Labrador, she currently resides with her family on a river and lake in Nova Scotia, Canada.
